Abstract
  • Caffeine is known as a stimulating substance that can increase one’s mental alertness and give individuals that extra boost they may need throughout their day-to-day life. Not only has this been shown in daily routines, but studies researching of the effects of caffeine on muscular endurance and strength have found that it can generate many benefits, such as improving muscular performance and increasing the time it takes to reach fatigue (12). With this conclusive finding, can the psychological motivational effects of caffeine be seen during a workout using a “hyped” effect? This study was designed to explore the possible effects a placebo has on muscular endurance and strength in comparison to a caffeine supplement.
