Abstract
  • β-Galactosidase activity in Saccharomyces cerevisiae was measured using absorbance at 575 nm. The increase in absorbance was do to the samples binding to the estrogen receptors inside the nucleus of the yeast cell, which would then transcribe for the β-Galactosidase. There was qualitative data found to show that some samples tested did in fact show β-Galactosidase activity.
