Abstract
  • Our production of As You Like It was set in the early 1900s Edwardian Era in Appalachian America so I began research on that era of clothing in early 2016 in preparation. After casting, I could began truly working on the designs. On the following pages you can see my final inspiration and designs for the ladies and gentlemen of the court as well as of the country. During production, I experimented with many different costume plots, the final design of which is the chart shown, which had space for me to write notes as the production continued. This was not the only chart I used, I also had a simple alteration list so myself and Rebecca Trout, the costumer, could focus only on costumes that needed work, and multiple costume change charts as we had many quick changes throughout the show. The final pages are the final designs of the show.
