This study offers an extensive view of the Spanish youth in the 21st century. Through a survey conducted this year (2016), it was possible to investigate the changes that have occurred since 2008, when the economic crisis began, until 2016. It will focus on the identity of young people, their values, their family, their education, their religious beliefs, their political participation, and their activities in leisure time. To see the differences in years, several studies were utilized such as those of the Instituto de Juventud Española (INJUVE) composed in 2009 and 2015 and the study of Prisciliano Cordero del Castillo conducted in 2011 and published in the journal Humanismo y Trabajo Social. Along with these, several other studies written in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2014 served with this investigation. This study made it possible to conclude that the Spanish youth continues considering having good relationships with family, having friends, and a healthy well being, as the most imperative values in their life. They are still affected by the unemployment rate and have had to continue their studies, implying that academically, they are still well prepared. Their religious interests are kept at a low level, their political participation is active and their appreciation for leisure time keeps occupying a major part in their lives.
