Abstract
  • Major oilfields, oil refineries, and final product distribution centers throughout Illinois are all closely related to the bedrock geology and appropriate population centers. Infrastructure is the glue holding the entire system together, allowing sellers of crude oil to reach their buyers at the oil refineries. Each cog in the wheel is dependent on the other, and each working together is vital to keeping the native oil flowing in the Midwest.
