Abstract
  • For my thesis I used trail cams and a GPS unit to map out movement areas and boundaries of deer (Buck) populations on one of my farms back home (Outside Elizabethtown Kentucky). The trail cams used were made by wildlife innovations the GPS unit was an old one my grandfather owned. the procedure for starting the map was I walked the farm last semester and took the coordinates of the boundary lines and roads. Then over Christmas break I set out trail cams took their coordinate and walked the farm to find heavily used deer trail. After they were found I walked them marking and took note of their coordinates. All of these coordinates were then mapped out on ArcGIS to become the trails, roads, boundary lines, and camera locations.
