Scope and Content: Records of the New Albany Second Presbyterian Church in New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana, dated 1837-1917. The collection documents session minutes, membership changes, governance, church history, discipline against members, annual reports, Freedman's Association, communicant registry, financial records, committee reports, officers lists, worship issues, facility changes, and the consolidation of the church. The collection also includes vital statistics information, including baptism, marriages and deaths.

Historical Note: The New Albany Second Presbyterian Church held its first meeting on 3 December 1837. The church joined the New Albany 3rd Presbyterian Church in 1917 and became the New Albany Hutchinson Church.
