Scope and Content: Records of the Indianapolis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana dated 1870-1991. Collection documents session minutes, membership and personnel changes, committee reports, disciplinary actions, financial reports, projects, church history, spiritual discussions, statistical reports, annual reports, social programs, trustee minutes, deacon minutes, benevolence records, Women's Association minutes, property records, and congregational meeting notes. Records also include vital statistics information, including baptisms, marriages, and deaths.

Historical Note: The first session book describes the organization of the church as occurring in the winter of 1869-1870. On 17 March 1870 a committee was appointed to seek out a site for a church building to be built. The Memorial chapel was dedicated by Rev. Hanford A. Edson on 8 May 1870 and was originally part of the Indianapolis 2nd Presbyterian Church. The church was closed on 30 June 1991.
