Historical Note: Hanover College was founded in 1827 by John Finley Crowe, a Presbyterian minister, in southern Indiana as a Presbyterian Seminary. The college was the first private college in the state of Indiana. Fred Clark Millis was a 1911 Hanover College graduate. He was the son of Dr. William A. Millis, the 11th president of Hanover College from 1908-1929. He was a Sigma Chi.
