Letters to Caroline Coulter from the Crowe family, May 16, 1849

Public Deposited

Three separate letters to Caroline Crowe Coulter from John Finley, Alice Rogers, and Sarah Crowe. John Finley Crowe writes about the health of their family and writes at length over Esther Alexander Crowe's paralytic stroke. Additionally, Crowe writes about Alice and Sarah taking charge of the house in the face of their mother's ill health, the good health of Hanover College and about a cholera outbreak in Hanover and Madison. Crowe ends his letter asking for Caroline's health and offering the family's prayers. Alice Rogers Crowe writes about the Crowe family's neighbors as wells as God's miracle of sending letters across the world. Sarah Crowe writes about Esther Crowe's health and talks about her temporary blindness. She includes a brief message from their mother that tells Caroline that Esther misses her the most of her children that have grown up and moved away.
