Historical Note: The Monon and Bedford Presbyterian Churches were two separate churches in the area of Monon, Indiana. Both institutions worked closely together throughout their histories for the betterment of both congregations, often sharing pastors, buildings, and working on collaborative projects. The Monon Presbyterian Church closed in 1975.

Scope and Content: Records of the Monon and Bedford Presbyterian Churches in Monon, White County, Indiana, dated 1848-1975. The collection includes session minutes; membership registers; materials related to church history; committee reports; newspaper clippings; congregational minutes; financial and legal documents; dismission books; trustee meeting minutes; Sunday School records; committee minutes; and Ladies Society minutes. The collection includes vital statistic information for baptisms, marriages and deaths.
