Scope and Content: The William W. Taggart Photographs collection contains photographs collected by William W. Taggart, an attendee of Hanover College from 1899-1901. Topics within the photographs include Hanover College, students, nature, and class photographs.

Historical Note: Hanover College was founded in 1827 by John Finley Crowe, a Presbyterian minister, in southern Indiana as a Presbyterian Seminary. The college was the first private college in the state of Indiana. William Walter Taggart attended Hanover College from 1899-1901. He then transferred and graduated from Purdue University in 1903.
