A letter from Mary Ann Crowe and Charles Kilgore Thompson to Mary's parents. Mary writes about her son and what her and Charles are thinking of naming their child. Additionally, Mary writes about meeting a distant family member that just recently moved about six miles away from her. In Mary's portion of the letter she finishes it with a discussion of her children. Charles' letter writes about an offer that John Finley Crowe made to him about a teaching position at Hanover College. Charles' was unable to stay yes because he did not want to leave his congregation for which he was responsible.
