A eulogy for Sylvester Scovel and Robert Livingston by John Finley Crowe in which Crowe talks about God and the lives of the deceased. Crowe notes that the two men were sons of religious families and carried their upbringing with them. Crowe goes on to discuss the educational achievements of Scovel as well as his work as a preacher. Additionally, Crowe writes over the accomplishments of Scovel for the college such as collecting donations for the endowment. Crowe finishes his sermon by discussing Robert Livingston's work as a preacher as well as his piety.
