Scope and Content: Collection of materials about the life and work of Reginald H. Thomson, including biographies, newspaper articles about his life and work, a book, and magazine.

Historical Note: Reginald H. Thomson was born in Hanover, Indiana on 20 March 1856. He graduated from Hanover College in 1877. Thomson move to Washington and became a surveyor in Seattle later serving as the resident engineer for Spokane, mining engineer for Seattle, and city engineer for Seattle before becoming the Chairman of the Seattle Board of Public Works in 1896. Thomson was in charge of municipal improvement for Seattle from 1892-1912. He died in 1949.
