Historical Note: Robert J. Millis was the son of Hanover College President William A. Willis and Laura Martha Clark. He attended Hanover College where he obtained his high school teaching license. After Hanover, Millis attended Indiana University School of Medicine. Robert married Beth Reid on 20 April 1921.

Scope and Content: Documents and correspondence related to Robert J. Millis and his family, 1916-1921. The collection contains photographs, Hanover College enrollment cards, homework or class assignments such as evaluation of school in Jefferson County, Indiana, correspondence, as well as a ticket for the Indiana Union Entertainment Series. The letters address such topics as Robert's transferred scholarship from Hanover to Indiana University School of medicine, Robert's impending marriage to Beth Reid, catching up between family members-father, sister, and mother in law. Robert's location changes from Hanover College in Hanover, IN to Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
