Historical Note: Jerome G. Boyles attended Indiana University in 1918, but soon left to serve with the Marines during World War I. After his military service, he returned to IU, but transferred to Hanover College in the fall of 1920. Hanover College. During his time in college Boyles was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
