Historical Note: Dr. Emma Hill was born on 4 April 1921 in Madison, IN to Dean Clark and Mary Danner Hill. She graduated magna cum laude from Hanover College in 1942 and then earned her Masters and PhD from The University of Wisconsin. Dr. Hill was a Latin-English teacher from 1942-1945 and then became a Spanish Professor at Hanover College in 1946. Emma Hill died on 2 November 1994 in Madison, IN.
