Historical Note: Under direction of the presbytery, the First United Presbyterian Church in Indiana Harbor was organized on 22 February 1911. The church building was dedicated on Jun. 30, 1912.

Scope and Content: Records of the First United Indiana Presbyterian Church in Indiana Harbor, Lake County, Indiana, dated 1911-1975. Documents include meeting minutes, membership lists, church history, discussions on Prohibition and the Anti-saloon league, mission work, partnerships with other local churches, financial records, church registers, memorial fund records, trustee minutes, legal documents, and the church constitution. The collection includes vital statistic information for births, baptisms, marriages and deaths.
