Scope and Content: The Robert R. Sims Photographs collection contains a leather-bound scrapbook and some loose scrapbook pages, both with photographs. The photographs were collected by Robert R. Sims, a 1907 graduate of Hanover College. Topics within the photographs include buildings, students, student and group activities, fraternity friends and trips, and scenic scenes from Hanover College in Hanover, Jefferson County, Indiana. Other shots include family and friends of Robert R. Sims along with vacations he took with classmates to St. Louis, Missouri, and New York City, New York.

Historical Note: Hanover College was founded in 1827 by John Finley Crowe, a Presbyterian minister, in southern Indiana as a Presbyterian Seminary. The college was the first private college in the state of Indiana. Robert Richard Sims was a graduate of Hanover College in 1907. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
