Scope and Content: The George O. Nichols Photographs collection contains photographs collected by George O. Nichols, an 1886 Hanover College graduate. Historical Note: Hanover College was founded in 1827 by John Finley Crowe, a Presbyterian minister, in southern Indiana as a Presbyterian Seminary. The college was the first private college in the state of Indiana. George Owen Nichols was an 1886 Hanover College graduate. He was a Presbyterian minister.
