Scope and Content: The George O. Nichols Photographs collection contains photographs collected by George O. Nichols, an 1886 Hanover College graduate. Topics within the photographs include Hanover College, the President's House, President Daniel W. Fisher, and faculty including Andrew Harvey Young, Frank L. Morse, August B. Keil, Joshua B. Garritt, and John F. Baird.

Historical Note: Hanover College was founded in 1827 by John Finley Crowe, a Presbyterian minister, in southern Indiana as a Presbyterian Seminary. The college was the first private college in the state of Indiana. George Owen Nichols was an 1886 Hanover College graduate. He was a Presbyterian minister.
