Abstract
  • Lab work is an essential part of any chemistry class. It teaches lab skills that are necessary for someone to be successful in the chemistry field. It teaches the dexterity that is required for certain lab techniques, such as putting certain apparatuses like a distillation unit. With these practices, students can then do more complex activities in the lab. Not only do lab activities teach these skills, it is also a reinforcement of the lessons that are taught in the classroom. The data that is gathered is used in a post lab to complete calculations or answer questions.
