In the simplest terms, this project is a story of home and belonging. The title, The Come and Go, came to me in one of my moments of best thinking (yes, in the shower). I still can’t get past the idea that life is equal amounts coming and going. It’s a constant flow of leaving certain things behind and opening doors for the new. It’s a persistent process of growing and changing, of settling down and finding where we want to stay. Life is like one big come-and-go party. Ultimately, we get to set the rhythm and determine how much of our lives we truly experience as we discover our unique senses of place. We have to choose where we want to be and the ways we’re going to get there. This is the concept I explore in the following essays.
