Two letters on one sheet of paper from James Blythe Crowe and Thomas Searle Crowe to their parents, John and Esther Crowe. James Blythe writes that it is unfortunate that he did not see his parents over Christmas, but that his work has kept him busy. After that James Blythe talks about his studies and what bible stories he is currently learning. Additionally James Blythe talks about the advantages of attending seminary at Princeton. On a slightly separate subject James Blythe the writes of his financial situation and finishes his letter by acknowledging his family and wishing them love. Thomas writes in the other half of the letter over his education as well as his financial situation and various debts. His education apparently cost more than he expected and he fears jail time if he cannot come up with the money. The last bit of Thomas' letter is devoted to talking about the Crowe family and his correspondence with his various relatives.
