Historical Note: Alpha Phi Gamma is a Journalism Fraternity. It was founded 1 December 1919 at Ohio Northern University and was nationalized on 3 March 1923. Alpha Phi Gamma Rho Chapter came to Hanover College in 1928. To be invited to join Alpha Phi Gama students had to have good grades and be a part of a journalistic organization on campus, such as the Triangle or the Revonah. Alpha Phi Gamma merged with Pi Delta Epsilon in 1975 to form the Society for Collegiate Journalists.

Scope and Content: Records of the Alpha Phi Gamma Fraternity Rho Chapter at Hanover College, dated 1940-1974. Collection contains meeting minutes, member biographical information, ritual books, poems, pledge manuals, and a scrapbook.
