Scope and Content: The Charles Heath Photographs collection contains photographs, specifically stereo views, collected by Charles Heath. They were taken by William A. Caldwell, a photographer and 1874 Hanover College graduate. Topics within the photographs include Hanover College buildings, the President's House, College Point House, students, and faculty.

Historical Note: Hanover College was founded in 1827 by John Finley Crowe, a Presbyterian minister, in southern Indiana as a Presbyterian Seminary. The college was the first private college in the state of Indiana. Charles Heath attended Hanover College from 1955-1957. He was a Sigma Chi during his time at the college and went by the nickname Chuck. William A. Caldwell was an 1874 graduate of Hanover College. He worked as a photographer in Indianapolis, Indiana. He took photographs of Hanover College and the scenery in and nearby Hanover and Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana.
