Letter from Samuel Skomp to John Finley Crowe, October 17, 1846. Skomp writes asking for the return of the $200 donation that he made to Hanover College. He states that his wife had left home and refused to return until the money had been refunded. The documents includes a second letter from C.K. Thompson to Crowe regarding the Skomp matter. He states that he visited the Skomp's and that while they wanted the money returned, Mrs. Skomp was not as unreasonable as made out to be in the first letter.
