Desert Blaze
上市 DepositedHannah Woebkenberg (2005)
This work is created through multi-colored, stretched nylons that have been cut in different places to allow for variations in shape, as well as value. Red, yellow, orange, and blue nylons overlap each other throughout the piece, creating many layers and variations in color. The work is set within a wooden frame made of refurbished barn wood.
From the artist: I let the flow guide me through my artistic journey with each piece, allowing the frame to trigger the intuitive flow of colors, movement, and balance. When I feel the flow slowing, I know the piece is nearing completion. For me , this process allows me to bypass forethought, bypass intent, bypass critical thinking, all the while accessing my inner childlike intuitive and limitless mentality.
